VISCOWAX® 111V by Innospec is a high quality non-oxidised, non-polar polyethylene wax. Acts as an abrasion resistant and matting agent. VISCOWAX® 111V is produced according to a high pressure polymerisation process. Used in printing inks, lacquers and varnishes. VISCOWAX® 114 by Innospec is high quality, non-oxidized and non-polar polyethylene wax grade. It acts as a matting and abrasion resistance agent. It is produced according to a high-pressure polymerization process and is insoluble in water. It is designed for plastic processing, printing inks, hot melt adhesives and paraffin compounds. VISCOWAX® 114 is also recommended for lacquers, varnishes, shoe and floor polishes. VISCOWAX® 116 by Innospec is a high quality, non-oxidized and non-polar polyethylene wax. Acts as a matting and abrasion resistance agent. Produced according to a high pressure polymerization process. It is insoluble in water. Prevents abrasion, hence suitable for printing inks, lacquers and varnishes. Listed in Annex I of Regulation (EU) 10/2011 (Ref. No. 80000) and USFDA CFR 21 §§ 177.1520 (c) 2.3, 175.300 & 175.105. VISCOWAX® 271 by Innospec is a high quality oxidized, polar polyethylene wax. It acts as a hydrophobic agent. Applications include water-based varnishes. Listed in Food legislation under Annex I of Regulation (EU) 10/2011 (Ref. No. 80077). VISCOWAX® 124 by Innospec is a high quality, non-oxidized and non-polar polyethylene wax. Acts as a matting and abrasion resistance agent. Produced according to a high-pressure polymerization process. It is insoluble in water. Prevents abrasion, hence suitable for printing inks, lacquers and varnishes. Listed in Annex I of Regulation (EU) 10/2011 (Ref. No. 80000) and USFDA CFR 21 §§ 177.1520 (c) 2.3, 175.300 & 175.105. VISCOWAX® 453 by Innospec is a high quality oxidized ethylene vinyl-acetate (EVA) copolymer wax. It acts as an anti-settling agent. It is suitable for low-solvent and water-based printing inks and lacquers. Applications include metallic lacquers. It acts as a matting agent, abrasion resistance agent, antiblocking agent, matting agent, mar & abrasion resistance agent and lubricant. Produced according to a high-pressure polymerization process. It is insoluble in water. Offers abrasion prevention and anti-blocking in printing inks. Exhibits mar- and abrasion resistance in powder coatings. Suitable for lacquers. Vanquish™ Antimicrobial additives, effective for control of fungi and bacteria, are based on the active ingredient N-butyl-1,2-benzisothiazolin-3-one. They provide superior protection against microbial degradation in the polymer matrix under high UV exposure.
Lonza has designed Vanquish™ Antimicrobials to incorporate easily in PVC products, vinyl plastisols, polyolefins as well as PU applications. The grades are liquid products fully miscible in polyols and can be pre-mixed in the polyol-side of the polyurethane formulation.
