2,4,6-Trimethylbenzoyl-diphenyl-phosphineoxide. Acts as a highly efficient free radical type I solid photoinitiator. It is used to initiate the UV polymerization of styrene-based unsaturated polyesters and acrylic resins. It can be used as the sole photoinitiator or in combinations with other photoinitiators, like e.g. hydroxy ketones. It produces two kinds of free radicle, benzoyl and phosphorous radicle, which can both induce polymerization reaction so that TPO has a quick speed to solidify UV system. Can be used widely in UV coatings on wood, metal, plastic, paper as well as for printing inks. It is particularly suited to use in pigmented coating, white paints and thick film layers requiring low yellowing and low odor. 2-Methyl-4'-(methylthio)-2-morpholinopropiophenone. Acts as a highly efficient photoinitiator. It is used to initiate the photopolymerization of chemically unsaturated prepolymers, e.g. acrylates, in combination with mono- or multi-functional vinyl monomers.
Varnifm™ Photoinitiator 907, which undergoes a photoreaction, producing reactive species under absorption of light. It provides non-yellowing durability and longer shelf life for UV-curable systems. Can be used alone or in combination with other suitable co-initiators, such as Varnifm™ Photoinitiator 907, or photo sensitizer, for UV curable inks and varnishes for applications on paper, wood, metal as well as plastic materials. Its high absorbance makes it especially suitable for UV curable inks and coatings. 1-Hydroxycyclohexyl phenyl ketone. Acts as a highly efficient non-yellowing photoinitiator. Used to initiate the photopolymerization of chemically unsaturated prepolymers, e.g. acrylates, in combination with mono- or multi-functional vinyl monomers. Varnifm™ Photoinitiator 184 may be used after adequate testing for applications such as UV
curable clear coatings based on acrylates for paper, metal and plastic materials. It is especially recommended when UV coatings are required to
exhibit only minimal yellowing even after prolonged exposure to sunlight. 2,2-Dimethoxy-2-phenylacetophenone. Acts as a highly efficient photoinitiator which is used to initiate the photopolymerization of chemically unsaturated prepolymers, e.g. acrylates, in combination with mono- or multi-functional vinyl monomers. It is used to initiate the photopolymerization of chemically unsaturated prepolymers, e.g. acrylates, in combination with mono- or multi-functional vinyl monomers. Can be used widely in UV coatings and UV printing inks, if used in combination with other amine-synergists (tertiary amine compounds and amine acrylate), its performance will be improved significantly. 2-Isopropylthioxanthone. Acts as a highly efficient free radical type II photoinitiator. It is used to initiate the photopolymerization of chemically unsaturated prepolymers, e.g. acrylates, in combination with mono- or multi-functional vinyl monomers. It is usually combined with amine synergists or cationic photoinitiator to increase the depth and hardness of film. Can be used after adequate testing for applications such as UV curable clear coatings and UV inks. Trigylcidyl Isocyanurate. Acts as a crosslinking- and antiseptic agent. TGIC demonstrates outstanding thermal deformation resistance, good weathering resistance and outstanding anti-chemical decomposition ability. Has no residual epichlorohydrin and much lower chlorinity. Used for the powder coating of pure polyester type.
