Bis (1, 2, 2, 6, 6-pentamethyl-4-piperidinyl) sebacate. Acts as a light stabilizer/UV absorber. Its high efficiency has been demonstrated in coatings based on a variety of binders such as: one and two-component polyurethanes; thermoplastic acrylics (physical drying); thermosetting acrylics; alkyds and polyesters; alkyds (air drying); water borne acrylics; phenolic, vinyl; radiation curable acrylics. It may be used after adequate testing for applications such as: automotive coatings; coil coatings; wood stains or do-it-yourself paints; radiation curable coatings. It offers broad range UV absorption, low color, low volatility and excellent solubility. It is a unique photo-stabilizer that is effective in a variety of polymeric systems; particularly in polyesters, polyvinyl chlorides, styrene, acrylics, polycarbonates and polyvinyl butyl. Used in coatings (particularly thermosets where low volatility is a concern). 2-(2’-hydroxy-5’-t-octylphenyl) benzotriazole. Acts as a light stabilizer/UV absorber. It offers broad range UV absorption, low color, low volatility and excellent solubility.
