easy-wet™ 300

easy-wet™ 300 by Ashland is an oligomeric alkyl polyether polyol, tunable, silicone & APEO-free, multifunctional nonionic substrate wetting agent with low foaming properties. It is cost-effective surfactant with excellent wetting and flow behavior.<br> <ul style="padding-left: 40px;"><li>It exhibits a good balance of low static and dynamic surface tension and helps to minimize defects in coating such as cratering and pin holing with no impact on gloss in coatings.</li> <li>It is a breakthrough technology designed to create defect-free film.</li> <li>It meets the biodegradability requirements based on OECD 302B protocols and has very low VOC.</li> <li>It can be formulated easily with other components in the coatings formulation without any compatibility issues.</li> <li>It is an excellent choice for difficult to wet applications.</li> <li>It provides good dispersion of pigments with no water sensitivity issues.</li> <li>It is compatible with a range of formulation additives.</li> <li>easy-wet™ 300 is suitable for use in printing inks and industrial/ specialty coating applications such as wood-, automotive OEM & repair-, plastic-, coil-, and metal- coatings.</li> <li>Recommended dosage level is 0.2-1.0% (on an as is basis) depending on the formulation.</li></ul>

Strodex™ FT-428

Strodex™ FT-428 by Ashland is a neutralized surfactant based on a phosphate ester, designed to impart superior stability to latex paints, including both mechanical and freeze-thaw stability. <br> <ul style="padding-left: 40px;"><li> It has the ability—depending on formulation specifics—to function as a strong wetting agent and dispersant aid and to help reduce pigment flocculation. </li> <li>It does not contain any alkyl phenol ethoxylates (APEOs). </li> <li>It is used in latex paint formulations. </li></ul>

Aquaflow™ XLS-500

Aquaflow™ XLS-500 by Ashland is a hydrophobically modified polyether. It acts as a non-ionic associative rheology modifier. Is pH insensitive and biostable. It provides very efficient Stormer (KU) viscosity build and a unique rheology profile that delivers an unprecedented combination of leveling as well as sag resistance resulting in drip-free paint. It possesses exceptional viscosity retention on tinting, excellent gloss development and spatter resistance. It has been shown to be extremely effective when used in conjunction with a high-shear effective NSAT thickener such as Aquaflow™ XLS-500 for efficient ICI viscosity build, however, excellent compatibility has been demonstrated with all categories of synthetic associative thickeners and cellulose ethers.
