SETAL® 270 EHV WS-70 by allnex is an air drying long oil alkyd resin based on soyabean oils. Exhibits good color fastness, brushability, body and flow, good durability and good through hardening. Market applications of SETAL® 270 EHV WS-70 include architectural paints (finishes on wood and metal), for interior and exterior use, do-it-yourself paints, semi-gloss finishes, alkyd resin varnishes, wall paints. It is also used in boat & yacht coatings, structural steel paints and marine paints. SETAL® 270 WS-70 by allnex is soyabean oil-based, air drying long oil alkyd resin. Offers low odor, good durability, good color fastness, brushability and flowability. SETAL® 270 WS-70 is used in architectural paints such as finishes on wood and metal, for interior and exterior use, do-it-yourself paints, semi-gloss finishes and wall paints. It is suitable for use in alkyd resin varnishes, boat and yacht coatings, structural steel paints and marine paints. SETAL® 118 XX-60 by allnex is a semi-drying short oil alkyd resin based on dehydrated castor oil. Exhibits good gloss retention, very good durability and excellent pigment wetting properties. Offers good hardness, scratch-, adhesion- and impact resistance. SETAL® 118 XX-60 is suitable for low temperature stoving finishes and primers for metal (80°C upto 120°C). Used in clear and pigmented nitrocellulose and acid cure coatings for wood and metal. The standard shelf life is 545 days from the date of manufacturing. SETAL® 53-108/60 by allnex is a general-purpose urethane alkyd. Exhibits excellent abrasion resistance, good chemical-, oil-, solvent-, corrosion- and chalking resistance. SETAL® 53-108/60 may be used to formulate pigmented exterior enamels and gloss and satin interior varnishes. It has a shelf life of 12 months. SETAL® 50-609/50 by allnex is a rosin-modified, phenolated short oil alkyd resin based on mixed drying oils. Exhibits rapid dry, good gloss and a high breakdown viscosity. It has limited compatibility with aliphatic solvents and other alkyd resins. SETAL® 50-609/50 may be used to formulate anti-corrosive primers, primer-surfacers and fast-drying high-durability gloss topcoats. Primers based on this resin may be suitable for use under higher performance topcoats, such as 2-pack polyurethane. It has a shelf life of 12 months at 5-35°C. SETAL® 209 XX-70 by allnex is a short oil alkyd resin based on synthetic saturated fatty acids. Offers good surface hardness, excellent sprayability and is non-yellowing. SETAL® 209 XX-70 is recommended for automotive finishes, home appliances and industrial stoving enamels. SETAL® 50-901/50 by allnex is a short oil rosin-modified alkyd resin based on linseed oil. It exhibits rapid drying, high gloss, good compatibility, and high tolerance to low aromatic solvents. It is used in applications where fast set and adhesion are required, including industrial, air-dry baking enamels and primers. The shelf life of SETAL® 50-901/50 is 365 days. SETAL® 10-3335 WS-60 by allnex is a medium to long-oil oleoresinous varnish. Exhibits good flexibility, toughness, good leafing and leafing stability. Applications of SETAL® 10-3335 WS-60 include mixing varnish for aluminium paints and exterior varnish. It has a shelf life of 12 months at 5 –35°C. SETAL® 142 XX-60 by allnex is a short oil alkyd resin based on soyabean oil fatty acids. Exhibits very fast drying, good elasticity and yellowing resistance (also at elevated temperature). Shows good adhesion on steel. SETAL® 142 XX-60 is recommended for industrial topcoats, corrosion resistant primers and general purpose stoving enamels. The shelf life of the grade is 545 days. SETAL® 191 WX-55 by allnex is a medium oil alkyd resin based on air-drying fatty acids. Offers excellent through-drying, excellent color retention, good gloss and outdoor durability. SETAL® 191 WX-55 is suitable for automotive refinishes, air-drying primers & finishes, structural steel paints and stoving enamels & primers.
