Chroma-chem® UCD® 1702V

Chroma-chem® UCD® 1702V by Vibrantz Technologies (formerly Chromaflo) is a conductive carbon black pigment dispersion. The colorant vehicle consists of a low-molecular-weight acrylic resin dissolved in propylene glycol monomethyl ether (PM) acetate. The tinting strength of this colorant is controlled to ±2% of the standard.

The low molecular weight of its vehicle i.e. non-functional methacrylate polymer helps to ensure full development of pigment strength while providing a rheological profile suited to automated dispensers.

It exhibits light fastness as well as acid- and alkali resistance.

It is compatible with most coating systems based on acrylic, nitrocellulose, alkyd, polyester, epoxy, epoxy ester, alkyd urea, alkyd melamine, urethane, polyester isocyanate and vinyl.

It is also compatible with most aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons, esters, ethers, ketones, and reactive diluents.

It is thixotropic, which makes it resistant to separation by settling or syneresis.

It is suitable for solvent-borne coatings.

It is used in automotive OEM, concrete protection, general industrial finishes, marine and protective coatings.

Chroma-chem® UCD® 1702V has a shelf life of 3 years.
