Chroma-chem® 896-0001 by Vibrantz Technologies (formerly Chromaflo) is titanium dioxide designed for use in a wide variety of water-based industrial coatings. It is based on acrylic resin. It is exceptional for universal tinting through depot (i.e. point-of-sale) or in-plant tinting. The pigments used to formulate this colorant provide good durability and chemical resistance. It shows light fastness and no-bleeding in acid and alkali resistance. This low-VOC and glycol-free grade exhibit excellent pigment development and rheological characteristics. Chroma-chem® 896-0001 is compatible with a wide variety of coatings applications based on acrylic, acrylic/PVA emulsions, water-reducible polyester/epoxy, water-soluble alkyd, and urethane systems. It can be used in water-reducible and emulsion coatings in both air-dry and baking systems. Market applications include general industrial finishes, general OEM, industrial maintenance and wood coatings. The recommended dosage is 5-15%. The shelf life of Chroma-chem® 896-0001 is 2 years.
