Hombitec RM 400 by Venator Materials is a highly effective transparent UV absorber. It has a small particle size. Used in wood coatings and waxes for a broad range of applications, such as furniture, joinery and parquet flooring. Offers very good long-term UV protection. Hombitec RM 400 is highly recommended for very light woods such as pine and maple, for which transparent iron oxides are too yellowish. Yellow color imparts a warm coloration to the wood substrate and even absorbs high-energy portions of the visible spectrum. Shelf life of Hombitec RM 400 is 12 months.
