MIN-U-SIL® 5 by U.S. Silica is a fine ground silica used as a filler. In comparison to synthetic silicas, it offers an increased shore durometer, improved thermal conductivity, increased density, improved oil resistance, reduced shrinkage and high dielectric strength. It allows very high loading with minimal effect on viscosity and cut rate versus synthetic silicas. MIN-U-SIL® 5 exhibits chemical inertness along with an enhanced durability, longer lasting, improved weathering, increased scrubbability, and better adhesion to substrates. In comparison to other natural minerals, it provides dispersibility, improved chemical resistance as well as moderate and near neutral pH. It is designed for traffic paints.
