CASAMID® 1457 by Thomas Swan acts as a gloss reducing curing agent and reactive matting agent. It is developed and optimized for use in mid to pale shade hybrid powder coatings, containing >10% titanium dioxide.
- It offers good flow and surface smoothness to the coatings.
- Coatings with gloss levels ranging from 15-60% or greater can easily be formulated by using CASAMID® 1457.
- The recommended dosage level is 8-12 phr based on excess epoxy content.
- It has a shelf life of 12 months.
