ShiraSol™ is a benzene-free, non-carcinogenic, HAPs (hazardous air pollutants)-free, high purity and biodegradable grade. Acts as a VOC (volatile organic compound)-compliant, safe, low toxicity green solvent. Offers superior solvency, solubility and safety but similar evaporation rate to mineral spirits. Exhibits higher flash point, ultra low MIR and less flammability than aromatic 100, methyl amyl ketone and n-butyl acetate. It is recyclable and does not contain environmentally hazardous ingredients & ozone depleting or creating chemicals. It is easy to use, dries completely, leaves no surface residue and has excellent loading capacity. Shows 10 - 25% more efficiency in viscosity reduction than xylene. Suitable for solvent system formulations. Used as a chemical diluent & paint thinner for paints & coatings, ink thinner for making monoprints and as an alternative to kerosene. ShiraSol™ can also be used a primary or co-solvent in stains, lacquers, varnishes and in cleaning & unclogging screens after printing with oil-based textile and plastisol inks.
