Patinal® Silicon monoxide by Susonity is an evaporation material for a wide variety of applications with the emphasis on infrared (IR) and visible spectroscopy (VIS) range. It offers adhesion promotion in VIS, NIR. SiO sublimes and should preferably be evaporated from resistance heated boats. Patinal® Silicon monoxide is used in multilayer coatings, iridescent coatings, colored metallically reflecting coatings e.g., on sunglasses and web coating (barrier layers on polymer films).
