Hostaperm® Blue BT-729-D by Sudarshan Chemical Industries is a high-performance, chlorinated phthalocyanine-based organic pigment (Pigment Blue 15:1, CI 74160). It offers "neutral" hue flop in metallic shades. It shows good fastness to light, overpainting and weathering. It exhibits excellent acid-, alkali-, water-, chemical- and solvent resistance.
- Compared to Hostaperm® Blue BT-728-D, it undergoes chemical surface treatment and its shade is somewhat more greenish.
- It is used in automotive coatings.
- Hostaperm® Blue BT-729-D is recommended for air-drying alkyds, physically drying paints, baking enamels, acid-cured paints, isocyanate-cured paints and water-based paints.
