Methylhydroxyethyl cellulose. Offers very high water retention, low gloss, low pigment compatibility, low pseudoplasticity, moderate thickening effect, and moderate wet scrub resistance. Exhibits good anti-spattering. Used for paint applications like solid paints, powder paints, limewash paints, cement paints, distempers, and emulsion based plasters.
