Terasperse® 2230 by Pflaumer Brothers is a low foaming, low VOC, high-performance dispersant that is free of alkyl phenol ethoxylates. It is very effective with both organic & inorganic pigments for a wide variety of water-based systems, including urethanes, alkyds, acrylics, polyesters & epoxies. It offers high pigment/binder ratios, excellent color & gloss stability on aging of dispersions. It is compatible with a wide variety of water-reducible, water-based resins and 2-component systems.
- It has well-balanced surface-active functionality that provides an excellent combination of hydrophilic and hydrophobic attributes, allowing the formulator to optimize the dispersion of almost all pigments and extenders, including such difficult-to-disperse pigments as phthalo blue, phthalo green and carbon black.
- Terasperse® 2230 has good rheology profile at high pigment loadings.
- It can be added to a finished coating or ink to boost color acceptance.
- Recommended dosage level is 1% to 15% by total weight and is 11% to 15% for tinting pastes.
