Tallicin® 1314

Tallicin® 1314 by Pflaumer Brothers is a general purpose pigment dispersant and wetting agent for solvent-based systems. It provides excellent color acceptance and development for a wide range of pigments. It allows high pigment loading and fast grinding time, minimizing color drift due to its effective color development in the dispersion operation. It provides better pigment wetting and dispersion than soya lecithin.

• It overcomes problems related to poor pigment dispersion, including loading, flocculation, color drift, floating, loss of hiding, puffiness and levering.
• When properly formulated, it improves gloss and gloss retention.
• It is suitable for non-aqueous systems including short, medium and long oil alkyds, epoxy esters, chlorinated rubber, urethanes, nitrocellulose and other solvent-based vehicles.
• It should be added to the pigment grind stage of paint manufacture before the addition of pigments.
• Recommended dosage level is 0.5-2% based on the total weight for inorganic pigments and 1.5- 4% for organic pigments.
