Boltorn™ W3000 by Perstorp is amphiphilic air drying dendritic polymer. It
contains long unsaturated fatty acid chains contributing to the air-drying
and non-ionic groups, which in turn provide excellent water dispersibility. It improves reactivity, lowers the viscosity and results in balanced mechanical properties. It exhibits very good compatibility with a large number of alkyds and polyesters. By adding approximately 1% of Boltorn™ W3000 to a solvent-borne paint, 15% of the solvent can be replaced with water.
