PAT-ADD DA 302

PAT-ADD DA 302 by Patcham (FZC) acts as wetting agent. It is used in paints and colorants to optimize color development and dispersion stability. It shows strong prevention of pigment flocculation, floating, flooding, and pigment settling. It is relatively non/low toxicity in comparison to classical non-ionic and typically replaces APEO based wetting agents. It is a strong emulsifier for use in aqueous colorants as well as in pigment and extender preparations. It ensures rapid distribution of the colorant once added to the base thus ensuring improved color development. It functions as stabilizer, reducing the risk of pigment flocculation, during paint production, storage or application, whereas properties like viscosity stability on storage, color development, opacity are being optimized. It improves the adhesion of paints and inks if applied onto polar substrates. It has an additional dosage level of 0.1 and 0.5% based on the total weight of paint formulation. PAT-ADD DA 302 has a shelf life of 24 months.
