GrafGuard® 280-50N

GrafGuard® 280-50N by NeoGraf Solutions is a non-halogenated fire-retardant additive used in coatings application. Offers reduced smoke evolution, highest expansion volume, controlled surface pH and engineered particle size. It forms an effective insulating “char” layer upon exposure to high temperatures. It expands upto eight times more than competitive products, exhibiting superior performance even at low temperatures. It is manufactured without lead or chromium and also enables ideal application as an intumescent additive. It has onset temperature of 280°C and engineered activation temperatures to meet processing requirements. It is compatible with most catalyst system and high volume manufacturing. Its performance does not degrade with time or environmental exposure. It improves the performance of additives such as phosphates, magnesium hydroxide and nitrogen compounds. Provides a consistent, high performing, environmentally friendly and cost-effective alternative to halogenated fire-retardant additives.
