GrafGuard® 160-80N by NeoGraf Solutions is a non-halogenated, non-toxic expandable graphite flake used as a fire-retardant additive in coatings application. Offers controlled surface pH, reduced smoke evolution, highest expansion volume and engineered particle size. It expands upto eight times more than competitive products, exhibiting superior performance even at low temperatures. It is manufactured without lead or chromium. It also enables ideal application as an intumescent additive. It forms an effective insulating “char” layer upon exposure to high temperatures. It has 160°C onset temperature and engineered activation temperatures to meet processing requirements. It is compatible with most catalyst system and high volume manufacturing. Its performance does not degrade with time or environmental exposure. It improves the performance of fire-retardant additives such as phosphates, magnesium hydroxide and nitrogen compounds. Provides a consistent, high performing, environmentally friendly and cost-effective alternative to halogenated fire-retardant additives. Suitable for construction & building products and automotive industries. GrafGuard® 160-80N isISO 9001:2015 & ISO 14001:2015 certified and complies with California Proposition 65, REACH & RoHS.
