Supplied byNatureWorks- Last Updated on Jul 11, 2017

Vercet™ L100 by NatureWorks is 3,6-dimethyl-1,4-dioxane-2,5-dione. It is a high-purity L-lactide derived from bio-based feedstock. It can be used to create low volatile organic compound (VOC) solvent- borne alkyd resin for wood and metal coatings that have excellent adhesion and impact resistance. Coatings made from utilizing Vercet™ L100 offers a tunable work life, low dispensing temperatures for food packaging, paper, fiber board and wood applications. It is useful for the synthesis of polymers, copolymers and grafted substrates. It is also useful as reactive chemical intermediates for other synthesis and manufacturing purposes.
