MELAPRET PTS 70 by Melamin Kocevje is a modified, melamine-formaldehyde resin. It improves the water resistance of water-soluble binders used for surface sized coated paper and board. It is suitable for wet-strength finishing of paper and board by surface treatment.
- It can also be used as crosslinkers for natural and synthetic binders in different coating formulations in a size or film press.
- The quantity of the product required is 10-30% of the dry resin calculated on the water-soluble binder solids and in coating colors the dosages ranges between 0.5-3% of dry resin based on pigment (atro).
- The shelf life of MELAPRET PTS 70 is 6 months.
