MARCOA™ CH492 by Macroocean is a high molecular weight, saturated branched polyester resin. It is specially developed for interior can coating and three-piece can application. It is suitable to replace BPA based epoxy resins for BADGE-free formulations. It shows excellent adhesive strength to steels. A mixed crosslinking agent with melamine, phenolic and block NCO is recommended. MARCOA™ CH492 offers very high Tg & hardness, very high sterilization resistance, even in acid media, good solubility and regular flexibility. It can be dissolved in ketone, ether or esters type of solvents, such as isophorone, acetone, MEK, CYC, DBE and EA. And, it is usually dissolved with aromatic solvents, such as 100# & 150#. It complies with FDA 175.300, also for alcoholic contents. The shelf life of this product is 24 months.
