PowderAdd™ 9027 by Lubrizol is a polyolefin wax. It acts as a processing aid during powder production. It shows increased scratch resistance, improved slip and good matting properties. It reduces gloss of powder coating while improving surface properties. It offers wider molecular weight distribution and shows early softening during extrusion. It enhances lubrication and throughput at early stage. It is suitable for powder coatings resin systems based on epoxy, polyester, epoxy/polyester hybrids, urethane and acrylics. It is also suitable for performance coatings. Usage level for effective matting is 1-3% based on total formulation weight. The recommended re-test date for PowderAdd™ 9027 is 1825 days after date of manufacturing.
