Aptalon™ 8080HS

Aptalon™ 8080HS by Lubrizol is a high solids, NEP-, NMP- & APEO-free, waterborne, one component, self-crosslinking polyamide polyol polyurethane dispersion. It provides fast drying and equal protection with fewer application coats. It contains 35% bio-based carbon content designed for clear interior wood OEM finishes. It imparts excellent chemical-, mar-, scuff-, abrasion- and alkali resistance. It also offers freeze-thaw stability, black heel mark-, block-, dirt pick-up-, scratch- and water resistance. This glossy resin can perform without adding crosslinkers and reduces the risks of application associated with 2K systems. It forms hard and tough films & enables high film thickness applications reducing the number of system layers. Aptalon™ 8080HS is recommended for use in metal, protective, concrete floor and wood floor coatings. The product is also suitable for use in clear and pigmented topcoats. This grade requires less VOC to formulate (<275/102 grams/liter US/EU VOC using USA EPA method 24/European Union ISO 11890-2). It allows formulations to meet current US and EU VOC regulations. The recommended re-test date is 360 days after the date of manufacturing.
