LAVIOSA VISCOGEL™ ED2

LAVIOSA VISCOGEL™ ED2 by Laviosa Minerals is a high performance, self-activating, easy dispersible, bentonite clay, organically modified with a quaternary alkyl ammonium compound. Acts as a rheology modifier for solvent borne systems of moderate to high polarity. Offers superior anti-settling & anti-sagging effect, thixotropic effect, sag control and excellent levelling. Provides good performance in solvents like aromatics, cellosolve, acetates, ketones, glycols and alcohols. LAVIOSA VISCOGEL™ ED2 shows good compatibility with epoxies, nitrocellulose, polyacrylates, polyesters, polyurethanes and polyvinyls. Suitable for anticorrosive paints, antifouling paints, industrial finishes, foundry mold paints, printing inks and adhesives. Recommended applications include primers & printing inks (at dosage level 0.5% - 1.0%), house & industrial paints (at dosage level 0.2% - 0.8%) and for applications with strong anti-sagging properties (at dosage level up to 3.0%). It has a shelf life of 36 months.
