Preventol® DB 25 (Old Name: BIOCHEK® 410) by LANXESS is an in-can preservative for aqueous coatings. It is a combination of 1,2-dibromo-2.4-dicyanobutane and 1,2-benzisothiazolin-3-one. It offers a broad and balanced spectrum of activity against bacteria, mold fungi and yeasts, thus ensuring a reliable and long-lasting preservative effect. It is supplied in the form of a beige to light-brown, aqueous dispersion with a virtually imperceptible odor. It does not contain any VOC-relevant components. It is suitable for products having a pH range from acidic to weakly alkaline. It has a shelf life of 12 months.
