IPEL® FAP-778

IPEL® FAP-778 by LANXESS is a wide spectrum algaecide and fungicide. It is based on isothiazolinone derivatives. It exhibits good performance, excellent compatibility and UV stability. It is designed to ensure outdoor dry film protection against microbiological attacks caused by fungi and algae. It uses a microencapsulation technology based on salt water membrane dissolution to release an anti-fouling active ingredient constantly over the surface. This technology allows stable residual over surface and enhances protection time, even in extreme conditions. It possesses high leaching resistance due to its low water solubility. IPEL® FAP-778 is suitable for water- and solvent-based systems such as varnishes. It is free from heavy metals and phenolic compounds. Recommended dosage level is 0.5-2.0%. The shelf life is 24 months.
