IPEL® FAP 492 by LANXESS is a microbicide based on mixture of isothiazolinones, halogenated and nitrogenated derivatives. It is designed for the dry film protection of water-based coatings against fungi and algae attack. It protects the integrity of coating surface. It offers lixiviation resistance and excellent dispersion in aqueous media. It shows good compatibility to anionic-, cationic and non-ionic systems. It is effective at a wide pH range and also in humid environment. It is free from heavy metals and phenolic compounds. IPEL® FAP 492 is suitable for decorative- and textured coatings. The recommended dosage level as fungicide is 0.25-0.40% and as algaecide is 0.5-1.0%. The shelf life of this product is 24 months.
