ESACOTE® PU 980 by Lamberti is an inherently matt, solvent-free, waterborne anionic dispersion of an aliphatic polyurethane based on polyether diols. It is a binder and a film forming polymer, without organic and inorganic matting agents. It provides very good transparency over black substrate and creates matt film with soft, silky touch & without any residual surface tack.
- It is used as a co-binder in water-based systems, low gloss architectural coatings and 2K varnishes to avoid color painting scratch.
- It can be combined with water dispersible polyisocyanates, melamine resins, polyaziridines or carbodiimides crosslinkers to enhance the overall properties.
- ESACOTE® PU 980 is used in flexible packaging (corona treated BOPP and BOPET films) and on cardboard for overprint varnishes.
- It is also used in wood coatings (parquet and furniture topcoat) with enhanced natural and warm look.
- It has a shelf life of 12 months.
