ESACOTE® PU 61 by Lamberti is a multipurpose, anionic waterborne dispersion of an aliphatic polyurethane based on polycarbonate diols. It acts as a binder for clear and pigmented coatings, providing high gloss & clarity, mechanical- & chemical resistance, and good balance of elasticity & hardness. It forms hard, transparent & glossy films and allows good film formation when combined with a small percentage of glycols.
- It also improves the adherence on porous substrates.
- It is recommended for plastic films and cardboard for antiscratch varnish.
- ESACOTE® PU 61 is used as a primer and topcoat on metals such as aluminum and CRS.
- It is suitable for transfer coating in hot and cold stamping foil processes.
- In architectural coatings, it is used as topcoat for flooring 2K on concrete.
- It can be combined with water dispersible polyisocyanates, melamine resins, polyaziridines or carbodiimides crosslinkers to enhance the overall properties.
- It has a shelf life of 12 months.
