Modified silicone. FLOWLEN AF-505 by Kyoeisha Chemical acts as an anti-flooding agent and surfactant. Exhibits prevention of flooding, floating and silking in toning paints. Provides superior anti-flooding and anti-floating effects in organic pigments in particular. Possesses compatibility with low-polarity air-drying alkyds and non-aqua dispersions. Also compatible with medium polarity 2-packed acrylic urethane. Used with thermosetting high-polarity melamine alkyd, polyester/ melamine and acrylic melamine. Applications include solvent-based paints.
