Elvanol™ 50-42 by Kuraray is a partially hydrolyzed polyvinyl alcohol. It also functions as a binder for texture coatings. It offers very good film-forming, emulsifying and adhesive properties. It provides outstanding resistance to oil, grease and solvents. Elvanol™ 50-42 exhibits high tensile strength, flexibility and high oxygen barrier. It is used in pigmented coating of paper, photosensitive and temporary protective coatings.
