Antifoam AP

Antifoam AP by KCC Basildon (Momentive) is a highly effective silicone based anti-foam emulsion. It combined high efficiency with outstanding versatility. It exhibits complete compatibility with most foaming systems. It works at ppm concentrations and is effective in most foaming systems. It shows minimal batch to batch variation. This grade is extremely stable, both on storage and in the foaming system itself. It disperses easily in both hot and cold aqueous systems, requiring only mild agitation to disperse it completely in the foaming system. It is recommended to dilute anti-foam with water before use, in the ratio of one volume of Antifoam AP to nine volumes of cool, soft or deionized water, the water being added slowly to the anti-foam with continual low-shear agitation in order to achieve maximum efficiency. It is suitable for a wide variety of non-food applications. It is used in water-based coatings and printing inks.
