CITROFOL® AI by Jungbunzlauer acts as a plasticizer. It is 100% bio-based citrate ester that is manufactured by the esterification of citric acid and ethanol. It possesses high boiling point and low volatility. It shows excellent compatibility with polar polymers such as acrylics, vinyl resins, ethylene-vinyl acetate and cellulose derivatives. CITROFOL® AI is suitable for use in inks, paints and coatings. It has been registered according to REACH Regulation at the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) in 2013.
