ALKONAT® L 30 by Indorama Ventures Public Company acts as a non-ionic surfactant, emulsifier, and wetting agent. It is compatible with a wide range of solvents and non-ionic, anionic, amphoteric as well as cationic surfactants. It is an excellent surface tension reducer which is generally unaffected by hard water ions.
- It is derived from the lauryl alkyl chain and its hydrophilic character is dependent on the ethylene oxide chain.
- It maintains its chemical as well as physical stability in alkaline as well as acid medium, and under varying temperature conditions.
- By increasing the degree of ethoxylation, the hydrophilic nature of the molecule is increased (higher HLB) modifying its solubility in water along with other properties such as foaming, emulsification, detergency and wettability.
- It has lipophilic nature and 68% carbon derived from renewable resources.
- It is used in varnishes, construction paint and pigment dispersion applications.
- ALKONAT® L 30 is also used in polymerization in emulsions, pigment concentrates, color pastes, water-based paints and printing inks.
