ALKOMOL® L 408 by Indorama Ventures Public Company is lauryl alcohol 4 EO / 8 PO. Acts as a surfactant, wetting agent as well as dispersing agent. It is non-ionic compound whose lipophilic portion of the molecule comes from fatty alcohol as well as propylene oxide, and the hydrophilic part from the addition of ethylene oxide.
- This structure gives it an excellent wetting properties and good detergency.
- Being low foam non-ionic, the need for anti-foams used in such preparations is reduced.
- Offers good dispersion properties and significant surface tension reduction power in aqueous solutions.
- Used in the manufacture of pigmented pastes, acrylic and vinylic latex paints.
- ALKOMOL® L 408 is used in construction paint and pigment dispersion.
