Opacilite™ (imerys)

Opacilite™ by Imerys is a flash-calcined kaolin based filler. It is a first choice for TiO₂.

• It offers exceptional durability and opacity both above and below the critical pigment volume concentration (CPVC).
• It is produced through rapid calcination, creating sealed voids that are impermeable to resins, solvents or water in liquid paint, enhancing wet film opacity and improving dry hiding.
• It induces micro-roughness on the film surface, creating a matting effect that significantly reduces gloss.
• Opacilite™ is ideal for satin finishes and exterior wall paints and significantly enhances scrub and UV resistance.
• Its internal voids provide opacity without binder absorption.
