Omnivadd XP 5166

Omnivadd XP 5166 by IGM Resins is a low molecular weight, wetting and dispersing additive for solvent-based systems. It enhances the dispersion of inorganic pigments and stabilizes the suspension of special effect pigments. It is designed to prevent flooding & floating and hard sedimentation.

• It is suitable for medium-to high-polar systems such as nitrocellulose, alkyd/amino resin combinations, polyurethane & chlorinated polymer and acrylic polyisocyanate systems (two-pack acrylics).
• It prevents flooding of titanium dioxide in combination with other color pigments.
• It is often used in conjunction with high molecular weight dispersants such as ADD-4046 as an effective co-grinding dispersant.
• It improves dispersion or suspension stability and color strength.
• It offers higher gloss or luster, lower viscosity or higher pigment loading.
• It is very effective in stabilizing TiO2 and activating rheological modifiers such as bentonites and other activated fillers.
• It is also effective with metallic flakes and special effect pigments.
• It is used in flexographic & screen printing inks and coatings.
• The recommended addition level is 1.0-5.0% on TiO2, 5.0-10.0% on bentonites/thickeners and 1.0-5.0% on metallic or special effect flakes.
• Omnivadd XP 5166 has a shelf life of 5 years.
