Sillitin® N 85 puriss by Hoffmann Mineral acts as a functional filler. It is a natural combination of corpuscular silica and lamellar kaolinite, which can be used on its own or combined with other extenders or flatting agents. Offers high filling ratio, good wet edge strength and breathability. It is designed for solvent-based-, solvent-free- & water-based systems, primers & fillers, varnishes, exterior & interior emulsion-, silicate- & industrial paints, wood-, foil-, metal- and powder coatings.
  • It is quick-drying and provides a very good flatting & spacer effect in pigments.
  • It meets extremely high requirements on dispersion behavior such as paint production without grinding.
  • Sillitin® N 85 puriss achieves good transparency with a low yellow tinge in unpigmented coatings.
  • It possesses high solids content, relatively low yield point, low abrasiveness, low tendency to settle and abrasion-, weathering- & scratch-resistance.
  • As compared to Sillitin® N 85, it has extremely low sieving residue and very low coating thickness.
  • It complies with the standards on basic foodstuffs of the BfR and FDA.
  • The recommended metering level is up to 55% depending on the intended application.
