VeoVa™ 9 Vinyl Ester by Hexion is a vinyl ester of Versatic™ acid 9, a synthetic saturated monocarboxylic acid of highly branched structure containing nine carbon atoms. Used as a modifying comonomer in the preparation of vinyl acetate.
  • It offers excellent reactivity with ethylene, and good reactivity with acrylate and methacrylate monomers.
  • It exhibits good alkali-, UV- & chemical resistance, low viscosity, water repellency, low surface tension, reduced water absorption and outdoor durability.
  • It imparts a combination of flexibility, high polymer hardness and hydrophobicity.
  • It also offers improved adhesion to non-polar substrates.
  • It is recommended for varnishes, anti-corrosion paints and coatings for polyolefins.
  • VeoVa™ 9 Vinyl Ester is suitable for industrial-, wood coatings, high-performance exterior, interior decorative and emulsion paints such as glossy emulsion paints & varnishes.
  • It is also suitable for use in acid or anhydride cured-acrylic automotive and powder coatings.
  • It has a shelf life of 3 years.
