Dynasylan® VPS 4721 by Evonik acts as an adhesion promoter, crosslinking agent and surface modifier. It is a high molecular weight bifunctional organosilane possessing a reactive organic epoxide and hydrolyzable inorganic methoxysilyl groups. It can bind chemically to both inorganic materials (e.g. glass, metals, fillers) and organic polymers (e.g. thermosets, thermoplastics, elastomers). Dynasylan® VPS 4721 is suitable as a primer and additive for paints & coatings, for improving adhesion to glass & metal substrate. Offers improved flexural strength, tensile strength, impact strength and modulus of elasticity. It provides improved moisture- & corrosion resistance and electrical properties including dielectric constant & volume resistivity. It exhibits improved storage stability of formulations, filler dispersion, viscosity reduction, increased filler loading and non-yellowing properties. Recommended for epoxy, phenolic, PU, PVAC, acrylates and polysulfides. It has a shelf life of 12 months.
