AIRASE® 5355 Defoamer

AIRASE® 5355 Defoamer by Evonik is a siloxane-based defoamer. It does not contain added mineral oils, hazardous air pollutants (HAPs) or alkyl phenol ethoxylates (APEs). It is designed to control and eliminate foam without generating surface defects in water-based applications. Suitable for low-VOC formulations and food contact compliant formulations. Exhibits long-term, persistent defoaming effect in formulations. Used in overprint varnishes, pigment concentrates and flexogravure printing inks applications. Complies with US FDA 21CFR 175.105, US FDA 21 CFR 175.300, US FDA 21CFR 176.170, US FDA 21CFR 176.180 and swiss ordinance annex 10, part A of lists I-V. AIRASE® 5355 Defoamer also conforms to nestle guidance note on packaging inks, Japan (not on the negative list for printing inks) and China GB9685-2016 regulations. Recommended dosage level is 0.1-0.5%.
