AERODISP® WR 8520 by Evonik is a 20% aqueous dispersion of a hydrophobic fumed AEROSIL® (dimethyldichlorosilane). It is a water-based dispersion that is highly compatible and easy to incorporate. It is suitable for both pigmented and clear formulations.
- It offers excellent anti-settling properties, prevents cracking in inorganic ceramic coatings, and is compatible with both non-ionic and anionic binders.
- Additionally, it provides excellent dot sharpness and resolution in ink-receptive coatings.
- It offers excellent anti-sagging properties, good transparency and moderate corrosion resistance.
- It is suitable for waterborne-, 1-pack- and 2-pack coatings.
- It is used in general industrial-, coil- and plastic coatings.
- Recommended dosage level is 5-10% and >20% ink receptive coatings.
- AERODISP® WR 8520 has a shelf life of 1 year.
