Silcolease® UV CATA 101 by Elkem Silicones is a free radical photoinitiator. Provides release properties against a wide range of adhesive materials. Curing of the coating by UV radiation is rapid and efficient, resulting in stable release performance and excellent anchorage to the substrate. It is intended for use with Silcolease® UV Poly 110/UV RCA 170 release chemistry for coating onto a broad selection of paper and film substrates. Also used for UV curing of silicone acrylate release coatings. Typical addition level is 3% Silcolease® UV CATA 101 by weight on the total formulated bath.
