Silcolease® MRA-385 by Elkem Silicones is a 2nd generation mist reducing agent. Based on branched silicone polymer technology, Silcolease® MRA-385 is effective at much lower doses than 1st generation mist reducing products at line speeds up to 1600 m/min. It can be easily incorporated into solventless silicone polymer systems and exhibits no effect on cure or other release coating properties. Used with solventless SILCOLEASE polyaddition release systems processed at high running speeds. Typical addition levels from 2% to 6% are sufficient for most applications up to about 1000 m/min. Conforms to the regulations currently in force (BGVV Chapter XVA-XXXVI and FDA-CFR 21 – 175.300; 176.170).
