THIXATROL® MAX by Elementis is a 100% active, cost-effective, seed resistant organic thixotrope rheological additive for solvent-based systems. It possesses viscosity, thixotropy and sag control in both conventional and high build systems. It allows high-temperature processing, packaging and storage.
- It shows significantly improved inter-coat adhesion properties in comparison to earlier diamide-based thixotropes.
- It has a broad tolerance towards various solvents like aliphatics, aromatics, ketones and esters.
- It finds application in high solids aromatic & traffic paints, inks, chlorinated rubber primers & topcoats, vinyl-, epoxy polyamide topcoats, industrial- and polyamide coatings.
- THIXATROL® MAX has a shelf life of 4 years.
- The dosage level for effective flow control ranges from 0.5-2.0% of the total system weight.
- Recommended usage level to improve anti-settling activities of the system is 0.2-0.5%.
