DeuAdd HM-6 by Elementis is a high molecular weight silicone-based hammertone agent. It produces fine hammertone effect. Viscosity instability is frequently encountered when formulating paints which contain acidic vehicle and basic pigment.
- It prevents viscosity increase and gelling of air drying and backing enamel storage.
- It is used in solvent-based aluminum paint systems (baking enamel, air-dry alkyd, lacquer), coatings and inks.
- Recommended dosage level is 0.05-0.5% based on total formulation weight.
- DeuAdd HM-6 has a shelf life of 3 years.
