Bentone® 1000

Bentone® 1000 by Elementis is a highly efficient and cost-effective rheological additive designed for use in low to intermediate polarity organic systems. It is organic derivative of bentonite clay. It is easy to use and exhibits consistent rheological properties.

• It eliminates need for pregels and the need for chemical activators in conventional solvent-based systems.
• It is used in trade sales paints, varnishes, light industrial finishes, asphaltic-based coatings, industrial maintenance and marine coatings.
• Recommended dosage level is 0.2-1.0% for most paint application and above 1.0% by weight for systems containing conventional rheological additive.
• Bentone® 1000 has a shelf life of 4 years.
