Bengel® 968 by Elementis is a rheological additive for low to medium polarity coating systems. It is cost-effective organic derivative of a bentonite clay. It provides good compatibility, viscosity increase as well as excellent sag resistance and anti-settling properties.
- It effectively increases low shear and mid shear viscosity and controls flooding and floating of colors.
- It also controls pigment suspension both in storage and in transit.
- It stabilizes the paint and prevents excessive penetration of the liquid components into porous substrates.
- It shows consistent batch to batch development of rheological properties.
- It is recommended interior/exterior architectural coatings, protective/anticorrosive, marine Coatings, container coatings, wood coatings primer and ink.
- Recommended dosage is 0.2-2% by weight of the system.
- Bengel® 968 has a shelf life of 4 years.
